Oh, The Places You'll Shop: The Home Accents Guide

4:00:00 PM

I love home accents. I love pillows, candles, artwork, books, trinkets, etc.. Basically, I love them all. I strongly believe a piece of artwork can totally transform a room from plain into extraordinary. There's something about each one that speaks volumes about a person and really shows the personality of the home. So, with that being said, let's discuss the best places to shop all things to make your home extra special.

  • HomeGoods is by far my favorite place to buy all the home accents I'll ever need. Like the name says, they have all the home goods you could want. They have a vast variety of things and they constantly change week to week. If I'm on the hunt for adorable pieces for my home, I shop HomeGoods at least once a week to catch the best stuff. You truly never know what you'll find. When you go and the aisles are kind of messy, think of it as a treasure hunt rather than hard work. It makes it so much better. My husband and I lovingly call the clearance aisle the "Land of the Lost and Broken Things", because everything has some kind of error. Pro tip: if you shop the clearance aisle, check the quality of the item to make sure it is not broken. You most certainly do not want to take home a broken lantern or candle holder. But, beside all of that, the store really is fantastic.

  • World Market is a really eclectic store with beautiful home accents inside. They also have a large variety of things you need, and some you really just don't but have to have. I love the artwork selection there. I have yet to see one I don't love instantly. Some things are a little more pricey then others, but they do have good deals going on occasionally. A great thing to do is sign up for the email list and get coupons, because anything helps right? the quality of the items is top notch as well, so the price does reflect the quality of the items you are buying.

  • Kirkland's I have nothing, but good things to say about Kirkland's. I really enjoy the atmosphere and the warmth that ensues when shopping in this store. There is always adorable things to look at and everything is very affordable. They even have little home accents for the bathroom! If you need anything for a dorm, they have it. Need a million different options for candle holders, they have it. They literally have so many options in all of the price ranges. My pro tip for this place: download the Kirkland's app, Spin to Win, to get a coupon on your purchases. Bonus: it's free!! They also do fun events, like an Easter Egg hunt, around the holidays. That was so much fun to participate in. I love a good Easter Egg hunt. Kirkland's most certainly won't disappoint when looking for something to decorate your home with.
Home decorating gets even more when when home accents are involved, Each one is carefully picked out and really does a fab job at representing the atmosphere of the house. I love them! Anyone have a picture of their favorite home accent to share? I'd love to see them! Tomorrow, I wrap up the Oh, The Places You'll Shop series with discussing the best weekend project..paint!
