A Cozy Cocktail

4:00:00 AM

Since it is Saturday and the best day of the week, I wanted to make the post fun and weekend-y. Enter, The October Sky cocktail! The library has been the main focus for the past couple days, why not add a delish cocktail to the mix? So grab your shaker, a glass, and ice and let's make a cocktail!

  • Earl Grey Tea
  • Brown Sugar
  • Gin
  • Ice
  • Maple Syrup
  • Lemons
  • Apple Juice
  • Apple slices

1. Steep 8 bags of Earl Grey tea in 2 cups of boiling water. Sweeten with 2 to 3 tablespoons of brown sugar. Chill.

2. Steep 4 bags of Earl Grey tea in 3 cups of Gin for 2 hours.

3. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine 1/2 ounce of prepared tea (tea from step 1), 2 ounces of Earl Grey infused with Gin, 1 ounce of maple syrup, 1/2 ounce of lemon juice and 2 ounces of apple juice ( I used Honeycrisp apple juice, but you can do whatever you want).

4. Shake, then pour into a rocks glass over ice.

5. Garnish with an apple slice.

This cocktail is a really easy and delicious drink to have while reading in your library. It is as cozy and warm to the soul as the fall. If you aren't 21, I'd suggest trying it without step 2. I bet it will still be delicious! Enjoy the drink and cheers to the weekend!
