My Bucket List Book

4:00:00 AM

One of my favorite things to do in life is think about the future. I sometimes think too much and forget what I have dreamt of. So, my fabulous blogging inspiration Seersucker Sass inspired me to participate in the 101 in 1001 by Design Darling. As a permanent dreamer, this ideas was PERFECT for me! I not only wanted to make a list, but I wanted to take it one step further. Without further adieu, I present to you….My Bucket List Book!

My wonderful brother came to visit me when I studied abroad in Italy in 2012. He bought me this gorgeous leather journal, but I never knew exactly how to use it. When this idea was presented to me, I finally found a purpose for my book!

Straight from Florence! My favorite place!

My brother is the absolute best!

I split the book into 7 categories: health, travel, personal, beauty, family, marriage, community. I love a good categorized list that is also color coordinated! My plan is to take pictures at every event that I can cross off my list. I have never been a big picture taker, so this will help me document all the fun adventures I have! Below each picture, I put the date of the event, so I will never forget! I decorate with washi tape ( I use Scott brand) to hold the pictures in the book and I use an array of colors!

I bought this box at Target for less than $10!

So far, I have completed a whole whopping 2! Give me a break….I work 40 hours a week and sometimes Saturday!

1. Do a Wine Tasting: Nashville Red, White, and Zoo July 10, 2015
2. Participate in a community event: Wilson County Fair August 22, 2015

Some of the others on my list include:
Throw a Murder Mystery Dinner Party
Volunteer with Junior Achievement at least 2 times a year
Send more letters to friends
Do yoga once a week
Join Junior League
Take a Cruise
Visit Sweden
Go on a date with my hubby once a week

This book is giving me such good ideas for fun things to accomplish on the weekends. I have learned more about Nashville just by exploring the city and its events more. I suggest you try this out. I love how its a mix between a to-do list and a bucket list. An attainable fun way to accomplish things you love!

What's on your bucket list?

  11. Thanks for the shoutout! You are the sweetest :) I LOVE that you made your list into a book... I'm definitely going to steal that idea! My boyfriend and I talk frequently about how people never print photos anymore. This would be the perfect way to document everything!

  13. I have the same problem every time I get a fancy new notebook - what is worthy enough to write in it? haha! But you've made a great choice and I can't wait to see what else you achieve :) I'd also have 'write more letters to friends' on mine - a lot of them are living half way across the world and I think it's always nice to get a lovely handwritten letter in the post!

  19. I love classic leather-bound journals like the one you featured here. Such a sweet gift from your brother! I'm glad you saved it for recording so many special events on your list. The idea of hosting a murder mystery party is PERFECT!

Might have to jump on this 101 in 1001 bandwagon, too...
