FRI-YAY Eats!

4:00:00 AM

HAPPY FRIDAY!! It seems almost unreal that college football season is back and we are on week 2! As a University of Oklahoma grad, I always cheer on my Sooners. Tomorrow we play Tennessee in Knoxville and I get to go! I'll be decked out in Crimson & Cream in a sea of orange and white. At work today we are having a department tailgate party and being the TX girl that I am, I signed up for queso. So here is my absolute favorite queso recipe! Trust me, it's super easy and good for a football watching party!

Ingredients

1 block of Velveeta Cheese

1 package of cream cheese

1 can of Rotel

1 can of Cream of Mushroom soup

1 pound of Ground Beef

Directions

1. Brown the ground beef in a pan over medium heat and then set aside.

2.  Cut up the cream cheese and Velveeta cheese into cubes and place into a crockpot. (If you don't have one, you can just melt them individually and put them in a bowl together once they're melted

3. Pour the Rotel and Cream of Mushroom soup into the cheese mixture. Stir together.

4. Place the crockpot on the low setting for about an hour. At the thirty minute mark, add in the meat and continue to let it cook. Stir as often as necessary. (If no crockpot, just mix in everything at the same time and warm in the microwave for 45 seconds...you're good to go

5. Serve on a cute platter and ENJOY!

This recipe is a delicious dip and will sure be the hit of the party. My hubby spoils his dinner when we have this as an appetizer! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! I can't wait for the theme of next week...I have been working hard to get it ready!

  2. This sounds ABSOLUTELY delish! I have snacked on a similar recipe without the cream cheese or soup. I bet that adds a whole new creamy dimension to the dip. Can't wait to try it your way!

  14. Seriously, queso is SO much better with cream cheese in it! Maybe it's a Texas thing? ;) I'm sure everyone loved having a bit of Texas flare in the office with your dish!
