You're Never Too Old

4:00:00 AM

Welcome back from the long weekend! Hope everyone had a wonderful time this celebrating the unofficial end of summer! My full-time finance job is pretty demanding and I work until 8 PM at least 2 times a week. I worked this weekend and that is what led me to create this post. I hate that my job stresses me out, because I should just leave it at the door and not bring it home with me. Unfortunately, that will never happen with me. #IWish

I am constantly looking for ways to de-stress and spend some quiet time. Most of my job is on the phone negotiating, the last thing I want to do when I get home is talk a lot. I have always been a huge fan of coloring. Something about the strokes of the pencil or crayon really soothes my stress. In college, my momma sent me Finals Week Care packages complete with a box of crayons and a coloring book. I loved spending study breaks coloring with my best friend and just taking a de-stresser during a very stressful week.

There has been a big re-invention of coloring books lately. Adult coloring books are making such a comeback, because let's face it, coloring is extremely calming. The books are filled with intricate designs and challenging pages. I like that it takes up time and really looks quiet artistic when it's done. The coloring books come in all shapes, sizes, patterns, you name it! There is a coloring book out there to meet your interests. I also have a darling Fashion coloring book, which is way too cute and fun. I love coloring all the different fashion trends over the decades.

To top off your coloring book, you'll need Crayola things. My coloring kit includes a box of 64 crayons, a pack of 10 markers, 24 colored pencils, and a perfect Pink Princess set of crayons. No one can resit the plethora of colors and the memories tied to the crayons. I really love collecting little packs of crayons and all the things I can to make my coloring even more fun! The best place to shop for all your coloring needs is Target. They literally have everything and anything you could ever want.

Like I said before, you really are never too old for coloring. The newest adult coloring books really are extraordinary and very calming. They are the perfect de-stresser after a long day of adulting.

  1. Oh my word. I've heard about these adult coloring books and I need to get on amazon right now and order one. I love coloring and often times I end up taking over my toddler's coloring books when I'm stressed. As I tell my students all the time, you're never too old to color. Glad someone else agrees (:

  5. No one is too old for coloring - it's one of the best stress relievers! I have my Disney princess coloring book and Crayola crayons handy at all times...although I've been doing my research on buying "adult" coloring books as they're a bit more intricate and detailed than the Disney ones. x Nicole | www.changeanddress.com

  14. Colouring has become incredibly popular over here! Everyone's doing right now, even my mom and sister! They say it's a great way to relax but I stay away. I'm really bad at colouring so I stick to knitting. Haha <3
