SURPRISE! - Chronicling Home

I have the absolute honor of planning my husband's cousin's gender reveal party! She is entrusting me with the knowledge of the baby! So here we go, another party I am so excited to plan and share with everyone!

Tonight, I picked up the envelope from her mailbox. She said she was DYING to know what it said, but wanted me to take it away! It makes me giggle, because I know the suspense must be killing her! I know what little baby is going to be and I am sooo excited for them! I love them!

We are currently throwing around the idea of colored sparklers or confetti poppers to reveal the gender! I am loving the idea of a sparkly reveal. Imagine, how cool it would be (and how great the pictures would be) to find out the gender through a pink or blue sparkler!? I love the idea!

I've also seen a cute idea of having a board with all the old wives tales and if she's experiencing them or not! Like sweet or salty cravings? Carrying low or high? Did the ring swing in a circle or back and forth? How fast is the heartbeat? Etc! I think it would be fun to have everyone put in their guess as well. I'm not a fan of cheesy games, so I'll probably leave those out. Of course, there will be a little party favor! You can't come to a party I helped plan and NOT get a little treat!

One of the best things I'm most excited about is going shopping for little gifts for the new baby! Nordstrom here I come!

What do y'all think of the ideas? Have you ever been to a gender reveal party or had one? Any ideas that really stood out to you?

Let me know & shop my favorite little baby gifts!

  8. I LOVE gender reveals. My good friends are avid horseback riders and so to reveal their new babies gender to their families they rode their horses (with blue blankets and halters on) out from behind their trailer while the family waited to see and find out that it was a little boy!
