Framing a Memory

6:20:00 AM

Happy Monday and welcome to another fun week! I enjoyed a quiet and relaxing weekend with my husband and doggie! Hope everyone enjoyed their weekends as well! I wanted to share a fun peek into my house today.

Artwork is a huge part of my walls. When I was younger, I really hated looking at art, shopping for art, or even thinking about art! In my home now I love the collection of artwork my hubby and I have created together! The best part, everything means something and reminds us of a good memory in our lives.

Concert Posters // We have been to two concerts together and they were the absolute best. We live in Nashville so The Opry is a total must! We went to a show last year in April and it was so amazing that we bought the show print. It features the artists we saw that night and the fun memories we made singing along to Florida Georgia Line and Frankie Ballard! The print that hangs next to the Opry print is a sailboat poster from Ben Rector's concert. I am absolutely in love with all of his songs, so naturally I bought an artsy rendition of his song "Sailboat"!

Travel Photography // Many of you know I studied abroad in Italy in 2012. While I was there, I saw some of the most spectacular things I've ever seen. Those memories are a permanent fixture in my mind and a place I often dream of. My husband and I went to Italy for our honeymoon, so Italy really hold a special place in my heart. My dad gave me a Christmas present of a blown up framed picture I took abroad. It was of the Duomo in Florence. It's one of the most perfect and beloved pieces in my home. I have it hung in one of our most frequented rooms so I can see it every single day.

Watercolor Paintings // I love love watercolors and I really love when they come from the heart. Tyler had one of our sweet friends paint me two paintings for Valentine's Day last year. She looked through years of my Facebook pictures to make sure the paintings were perfectly me. They turned out so beautifully and bring me such light when I see them.

I hope you enjoyed these small peeks into my home. I have a lot of other types of art in the house like a chalkboard wall and a gallery wall in my office. You can read the post on the chalkboard wall and my gallery wall!

Do you have any art that speaks to your personality and memories?

  17. I love your Grand Ole Opry print! My favorite piece of art is one that my dad bought me when I was ten. I've moved it everywhere with me, and it even sat on the cabinets above my desk at my old job.
