Valentine's Day Date Ideas

4:00:00 AM

I can hardly believe it's already February! I literally cannot comprehend how fast 2016 is going by! February is one of my favorite months of the year, because Valentine's Day is one of my favorite holidays. I love the love that the day brings! Cheesy? Of course, but I don't mind, I love it! I think that the hardest part of Valentine's Day is the pressure to have the "perfect" date planned. To help out with that, I've come up with a few fun ideas for a unique date!

Cooking Class // These are one of the most fun things a couple can do together. Tyler and I binge watch cooking shows all the time, so a cooking class is really fun thing for us. We fell in love with cooking classes on our honeymoon in Italy. We took a class in Florence and that was such a fun and unique experience! Cooking classes can be kind of pricy, depending on where you look. I love the classes at Whole Foods. They offer an amazing hands-on experience and seriously delicious food. Cooking classes are a good way to have fun with your date and spend some time cooking up a delicious gourmet meal together.

Chocolate Factory Tour // In Nashville, we have an awesome chocolate factory called Olive & Sinclair Chocolate Co. Tyler and I are taking a tour this year and I am so excited! I love learning new things and of course, tasting delicious chocolates! I cannot wait to go! I heard the tour was amazing! Look around town to see if you have a chocolate shop or a factory that gives tours and tastings. It's a fun and cheap date that is out of the ordinary!

Walk in the Garden // I love how peaceful walking outdoors is, so walking outdoors with my valentine is even more fun. We have a botanical garden or the Gaylord Opryland hotel gardens to choose from. The beauty of the greenery and flowers makes for a perfect date. Take a picnic lunch with a bottle of wine along with! It is a good way to just enjoy the day and have a relaxing date. Good news, it is a low cost date if you're looking for a budget saving date!

Progressive Dinner // Most people have heard of a progressive dinner, but not with my twist idea! For a unique dinner, start at a restaurant and get an appetizer. Then head to another restaurant and have the entree course. Finish off at a third restaurant for dessert! I know this sounds crazy and a bit wild, but who knows it could be super fun! You could go to side by side restaurants, so you don't have to drive a lot or go to all your favorites in one night! As wild as it sounds, it seems like such a fun adventure!

What are you planning for Valentine's Day? I cannot wait to go on a Chocolate Factory tour and eat at our absolute favorite Southern food restaurant in town!

  13. Progressive Dinner sounds fun but I think would be very difficult on Valentine's Day unless you made all the reservations ahead of time. Definitely something I would love to try another time though!
