Host an Ice Cream Party

4:00:00 AM

Summer is just around the corner and luckily for me, that means ice cream parties! I remember as a little girl all the ice cream socials I went to at school. It was such a joy to get my favorite ice cream and top it with as many delicious toppings as I could. Sprinkles, M&Ms, and chocolate chips rank the highest on the list of favorite toppings. With these fun memories in mind, I wanted to create a fun colorful party I could throw as an adult! I added a few fun adult twists that would make any ice cream social fun for all ages.

Little details are so important to me, so each piece of this party was thought out to the t! For the place settings, I chose to start with a white base plate. These are gorgeous Maison Versailles plates that are a great base for any fun colored salad plate. The Pottery Barn yellow watercolor plates are probably my favorite set in my cupboards. They're a good mix of whimsical and practical. The sweet little pink cups for water are also from Pottery Barn and on super sale. (Less than $5!) Love how gorgeous the pink color looks against the entire place setting! The striped place mats and polka dot napkins are both from Kate Spade. I'm a total sucker for pattern matching. I love pushing the envelope a little on patterns and what goes with what. Lastly, the adorable and cherry on top so to speak of the setting are the waffle cone ice cream cups. These little cups are from Tommy Bahama, but I found them hidden in Home Goods. I love the treasure hunt that is Home Goods!

For a fun adult twist, serve champagne in a glass with a cherry garnish. It's a cute and ice creamy!

The Toppings bar as I call it was the cutest part of the entire party. My little wooden paddle served as the perfect piece to display the toppings. The board is from Target and perfect for more than one summer party! The topping jars I found in the dollar section at Target, as well as, the wooden spoons. Perfect little pieces to round out the toppings bar.

My favorite ice cream to serve is always Blue Bell. Since I'm Texas born and bred, Blue Bell is our favorite ice cream ever.

One small detail I added to make the party even cuter were the little place cards that had the names of ice creams on them. I thought it was a fun change of pace from normal place cards with names.

I hope this post inspires you to have your own ice cream social! It's such a fun way to celebrate summer time!
