Tea Party

4:00:00 AM

There's nothing more girly than a lovely tea party! With a bunch of my best friends getting married, I've been doing a lot of research for perfect bridal showers. A tea party is something I really like to partake in. High tea is so traditional and classic, which is totally me in a nutshell. I wanted to recreate the elegance, sophistication, and girly atmosphere of tea at home.

I'm all about pattern mixing, so having different tea cups and plates really speaks to me. When I shopped around for the tea party mix, I found all of my stuff at Home Goods. They have the best patterns, colors, and tea party accessories of any shop I went to. Make sure to have a variety of teas so that all of the guests can enjoy a tea they love. Just a good hostess tip!

For the little goodies, stay in the light desserts or finger sandwiches arena. I served mini cream puffs, mini chocolate eclairs, wedding cookies, and mini pies! The mini eclairs are always a hit at my parties and you can find them in the bakery or the frozen section. Easy right? For sandwiches, you can do the traditional cucumber sandwiches. Those are always totally delicious. You can search Pinterest for even more food ideas that are outside the release of the traditional tea party.

  1. I am obsessed with chevron, and I love the way it plays so nicely with the floral pattern of your china! Even though nothing "matches" per se, it all works together so well! What a great idea to get all of your girlfriends together (and to drink tea and eat eclairs, of course!) Thanks for sharing! -Hannah // theswirlblog.com
