S'mores Party

6:00:00 AM

Happy Monday! It really is surprising every week how fast the weekend goes. On Saturday I invited my friends over and we had a summer s'mores party. It was absolutely the best way to celebrate summertime and enjoy a yummy sweet. My favorite outdoor summer staple is the Enbrighten Seasons Color Changing Cafe Lights. Tyler strung up these super cool lights and they were the main pinnacle of the party. These lights are extremely heavy duty and will most certainly last for many seasons to come. I am so hooked on the fact that these change colors. Seriously, they can be any color you want! My girlfriends loved playing with the colors and making it look like Christmas or the 4th of July out on my patio. These lights mixed with the s'mores seriously elevated this party into a chic outdoor event. T and I decided since we love the lights so much, we will spend the rest of the summer and fall eating dinner al fresco.

Love these ladies!

For the chocolates, I decided to have many different kinds so people could experiment with their s'more. Make sure to include the classics though for all the traditional s'mores people! Along with the milk chocolate, I added cookies n' creme chocolate bars, dark chocolate bars, peanut butter cups, crunch bars, and dark chocolate and sea salt caramel chocolates. Also I added chocolate graham crackers too for a totally different twist. According to the guests, the different flavors were a total game changer. I love hearing that, because taking risks is so much fun with classics like s'mores!

The decorations I kept them pretty simple and went with burlap, wood, galvanized metal trays, and mason jars. I have an abundance of mason jars so they were the perfect container to hold the candies. If you don't have a lot of trays to serve on, grab a wooden butcher block or cutting board. I had an extra begging to be used, so I served the mason jars and chocolates on it. Super easy and chic and really doesn't require any extra money or supplies. If you want to do it at sunset like me, then place some votives and candle holders around the patio. The fire pit and the candles together add a beautiful ambiance. If you live somewhere with lightning bugs, those also add a fun and super summery feel.

Tomorrow I'm sharing the darling little favors I sent my guests home with. Every hostess knows you have to send your guests with a little something fun to remember the night with! And bonus, I'll share the printable you can use to make the darling tags.

Hope y'all have a fabulous Monday and a great week ahead!

  1. Only downsides here was that I’m not sure if they were expecting such a crowd as they did not have nearly enough servers and sometimes it would take a really long time for service guy to come. But at Chicago venues they tried to keep a smiles on their face.
