Fri-YAY Cocktails: The Honey Bee

4:00:00 AM

Happy Fri-YAY everyone! Can you believe you made it through another week of August? I swear this year is just flying by wayyyy too quickly. It blows my mind we are cruising right on through 2017 and the Fall is just right around the corner. EEK!

So today's cocktail was inspired by one I saw in my Southern Living magazine a couple issues ago. I have really gotten in to honey recently, especially local honey. Farmer's Markets are my favorite place to shop for local goodies and the honey is always spectacular. This cocktail is perfect for late summertime, because it can easily transform into a fall cocktail if you want. It is cozy, but also very light. Also if you aren't a huge fan of honey, no worries! Just add a little less honey and a little more of the other ingredients. I promise it's tasty! I served this cocktail chilled and also included a little honey spoon stirrer I found in a local shop a couple weeks ago. It's the small details my friends. Best news though, all you need is a cocktail shaker (or two cups if you don't have one) and the ingredients. Easy peasy!

1/4 cup of vodka (or more if you please)
2 tbsp of honey
2 tbsp of lemon juice

Combine the Vodka, Honey, and Lemon Juice in a cocktail shaker with a ice cubes. Shake until all ingredients are mixed and the shaker is cold. Strain the cocktail into your glass and serve.

The recipe is super simple, but most certainly an impressive one to serve at a fun dinner party or girl's night. Hope you enjoy this sweet little cocktail I whipped up! Hope you have a fabulous weekend! See you next week!

  1. These are nice cocktails but I would make them non-alcoholic. According to the prices,it will be cheaper and alcohol is not a good thing for the teacher.

  2. The beer selection at this place was great and rotates often. Everyone who works at event venue here makes you feel welcome. They remember your favorite drink and you will be glad to tweet about them.
